RRP Associates , a leading Bedfordshire law firm, held a grand prize draw while also sponsoring Leighton Buzzard\u2019s big family event, Picnic in The Park on June 17th at Parsons Close Recreation Park from 10-2pm.<\/p>\n
The company had a stand in the centre of the festivities hosted by three of its staff, who gave out their popular helium balloons to little ones and encouraging mums and dads to enter their free draw to win a grand prize.<\/p>\n
Picnic in the Park, which has been running for almost three decades, is back this year after a gap in 2014. The organisers are put on a wonderful day of fun and entertainment for all under 5’s to enjoy with their families.<\/p>\n
With the help of Leighton-Linslade Carnival Committee and the support of Mary Flach, one of the original founding members of Picnic in the Park, Farzana Kharawala, a local resident, volunteered to bring this event back to the community.<\/p>\n
Amongst the many things enjoyed were:<\/p>\n
A mini arena with a programme of free events to keep all of the family entertained.
\nLots of local pre-school and toddler groups for people to get to know what’s in the area as well as the opportunity for them to join in with fun activities and games with their little ones.
\nA bouncy castle and small rides.
\nA selection of local stalls for a little retail therapy – always popular with all the mums!
\nPeople were invited to bring their own picnics to sit down together with their friends or to treat themselves to the refreshments that were available on the day, including delicious food, drinks and ice creams.
\nBoth the Splash Park and the ‘Beach’ were in operation and of course the park is conveniently close if the little ones still have energy at the end of the day!

We have a number of clients in Leighton Buzzard and this gave us a chance to give something back to the community. Leighton Buzzard is a great place to live and Picnic in the Park is a wonderful community event that attracted lots of families to join in.
