RRP Associates has bagged a ringside seat to watch the soaring career of London \u2019s amateur welter weight British boxing champion Jordan Reynolds<\/strong>, by sponsoring him for the third year running.<\/p>\n

RRP Associates , which has offices in London , India, Hemel Hempstead and Tring first recognised the boxing talents of 18 year old Jordan last year. Since then he has powered his way to win the British Welter Weight Championship in 2012 and this year his seventh London championship, which means he is also the best welter weight amateur boxer in the big city, having beaten the best opponents from over 100 boxing clubs and 1000 young boxers.<\/p>\n

He has overcome the odds to pursue a career about which he is so passionate. Jordan, a past winner of the Young Hero Community Award and London Sportsman of the Year Award took up boxing only three years ago and discovered he had a natural talent for the sport. He says \u201cBoxing saved me from going off the rails when I was younger and it\u2019s completely turned my life around. I love the fights and each time one finishes I just can\u2019t wait to get back in the ring with my next opponent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan still does three training sessions a day, in between his daytime job as a butcher. He began to channel his energy into boxing at Graham Earl\u2019s London gym, then progressed to work with Geoff Glencross in Stevenage and is now training at the top club on the circuit, in London\u2019s West Ham with Micky Driscoll and boxing\u2019s legendary coach 74 year old Micky May. The club has produced 120 champions, including Nigel Benn and Kevin Mitchell.<\/p>\n

Now that Jordan is 18 years old he will be defending his 2012 title in the British Welter Weight Under 20s NABC British Championship, fighting senior amateur welter weights with years more experience than he has. He concludes \u201cI have to win my next four or five fights to get to the finals again this year. I\u2019m already in the England Squad and I\u2019m really aiming at Team GB because it\u2019s my ambition to represent the UK at the next Olympic Games in Brazil in 2016.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
